Great post. Love this film and it’s great to see others into it. Plus, Lee Marvin, hell yeah. Anyway, the first screenplay I ever attempted was a loose ripoff of Point Blank, which only made me realize how hard screenwriting is and how great Point Blank is. Must see it again.
Love The Limits Of Control. Have you seen it, Andrew?
I always remember fondly first (and only) encounter with Point Blank. Caught it by accident in the early 80's as a midday movie on television (remember those?). I caught Night Of The Hunter the same way. How those films blew my teenage mind away! Point Blank is one I would love to see on a big screen. Thanks for that piece, mate.
No luck on the Derek Raymond memoir front here, sorry. I had top people on the case, but we couldn't locate it anywhere.
Give me a moment, Brendan, I am trying to wrap my head around the idea of point Blank as a midday movie. Have not seen Limits but it's on my list of films I want to see. As for the Raymond autobiography, thanks for the efforts. Fortunately, a mate sourced a copy for me in Australia.

I don't think I've seen this, so will have to check it out!
June, you absolutely do!
